New 2023 vs. Old Rolex GMT-Master II Watches

At Baselworld 2019, the Rolex brand unveiled a total of three new versions of its GMT-Master II timepiece. The first, and perhaps the most striking, is a new version of the GMT-Master II ‘Batman’ with a black and blue bezel, which has a new movement, subtle new design elements, and a Jubilee strap. There are also two new versions of the GMT-Master II ‘Pepsi’ model with a blue and red bezel, with a dark blue dial or a ‘meteorite’ dial.

In this blog post, we will take a more in-depth look at the three new models unveiled at Baselworld and compare and contrast them with some of the older or vintage models in the Rolex GMT-Master II collection.

The main difference between the rolex replica watches GMT-Master II “Batman” model is that it features a Jubilee bracelet with a folding clasp instead of the Oyster bracelet of the older version. This brings the “Batman” model in line with the “Pepsi” GMT-Master II, which gets a Jubilee bracelet option for 2018.

The new model also comes with an updated 3285 movement, which upgrades the power reserve to 70 hours and improves efficiency. The only other notable visual difference is that the lugs have undergone a small transformation to accommodate the new Jubilee strap.

The dial itself, along with the black and blue bezel, remains the same as the old “Batman” model. The difference, therefore, lies in the appearance of the Jubilee strap, as well as the improved 3285 movement.

In the past, the GMT-Master II with the blue and red bezel – affectionately known as the GMT-Master II “Pepsi” – was only available with a black dial. However, at this year’s Baselworld, the choice of this model has been expanded, and buyers can now choose between a dark blue dial, or a grey “meteorite” dial.

One thing to note, however, is that the old black dial “Pepsi” model has included the option of a Jubilee bracelet since 2018. It appears that the new colour options will not offer this option. Additionally, Rolex appears to have discontinued the black dial white gold Oyster bracelet model.

That said, if you do want a Rolex GMT-Master II “Pepsi” with a blue or meteorite dial and a Jubilee bracelet, it should be possible to customize your swiss replica watches. Official Rolex dealers may not be able to offer this option, but it should be possible through grey market dealers.

The new additions to the GMT-Master II line offer more options for those seeking a “Batman” model with a black and blue bezel or a “Pepsi” model with a blue and red bezel. For the former, the most notable change is the availability of a Jubilee strap, while for the latter, there are two new dial colour options.
