Sharing Holiday Joy with Organizations in Our Community

Some of the AroundCampus Group team in Ugly Sweaters and before Caroling.

Every day at AroundCampus Group, we work hard to support our customers and campus communities across the nation with superior products and excellent customer service. This holiday, we decided to further support our local residents and organizations as part of our giving efforts for the season.

On Monday, December 12th, AC began collecting non-perishable food items for the Inter-Faith Council for Social Services (IFC), a local organization who strives to meet the basic needs of individuals and families in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area. In less than two weeks, the AC team was able to collect more than 50 food items for those in need. The IFC currently needs help restocking their Food Pantry, so we were happy that we could help make a contribution.

In addition to gathering food items, we also took some time out of our days to create holiday cards for UNC hospital patients and Crescent Green Assisted Living Community (CGALC) residents, all while enjoying delicious cookies! This was such a fun and rewarding opportunity for the AC team.

Then on Friday, December 23rd , members of the AC team made a trip to the CGALC in Carrboro. In an effort to spread joy to the residents and staff there, we sung Christmas Carols while handing out our handmade holiday cards. The residents seemed to truly enjoy our visit; They even requested an encore of our singing!

At AroundCampus Group we know how important it is to be involved in our communities and we’re proud to have been able to provide a little extra support for ours.

Happy Holidays from the AC team!
